The bespoke corset process
Step 01
Get in touch!
Use the contact form below to reach out. The bespoke corset process starts with an in-depth conversation about your needs and desires for the piece. As you’re getting something entirely unique and one of a kind, please remember that it’s a process, not a product.Â
Step 02
Design
We’ll then meet for a design consultation. These are available via email/Zoom or in person by appointment, and you can reserve a design consultation via my calendar, with the $100 consult fee applied to your piece. Â
In preparation for our meeting, I’ll ask you to create a mood board of your inspiration or collect a few images of what you have in mind, making notes as to what intrigues you. During our meeting, we’ll then collaborate on a basic idea for your design, or perhaps even finalize the details.Â
If we’re unsure on details or pricing or if the consult takes place via Zoom, I’ll make three separate initial sketches with estimates for you. You can then choose a sketch as is, or ask for further tweaks for one final design. Any additional design work will incur an additional consult fee. We then make it official and sign a document stating the specifics.
Payment plans are available if required. Generally, the payments are split into thirds, but larger projects have more flexibility.Â
Step 03
Fit
While it’s preferable to have you in my studio for me to take your measurements at the design consultation, if you can’t be here, you’ll need to provide me with your measurements. Â
As each fully bespoke corset or ensemble requires at least one mock up, this stage may be as few as two weeks to complete or up to two months. For large-scale, highly detailed, or very architectural pieces, multiple mock ups may be required.
If you are available to be fit in the studio, you’ll then visit me for a fitting session. In this session, I’ll take reference photos, notes, and adjust the fit of your piece. Please expect this session to be 1 to 2 hours. Depending on the piece, there may be multiple fitting sessions required.Â
If you’re unable to come to my Kentucky studio, you’ll need to email me with pictures once you’ve received it. As each body and piece is unique, I’ll be in touch with specific requests for pictures to gauge fit. Depending on the clarity of the photos, I may request multiple iterations. Photos should be taken from straight on to your body (no selfies), in a well lit area, against a clutter-free background. I’ll let you know when to return the mock up so that I may adjust your pattern.
Step 04
Construction
Final steps! I begin construction! You won’t hear much from me during this time as I’m working diligently to bring your bespoke piece to life. Due to the artistic nature of this, I don’t tend to send out formal in-progress updates. Instead, I recommend keeping an eye on my social media stories to see works in progress.Â
Step 05
Your bespoke corset is ready!
Upon completion, I’ll let you know your corset is ready and request any final payments due. If we’re working long distance, the corset will then be shipped out via USPS, fully insured with a tracking number. You’re always welcome to pick up the corset in the studio.
Corsets are NOT just for cosplay or young things

When I first tried on a Bad Button standard size corset, I immediately felt amazing. The corset showcased my natural figure and gave me some epic back pain relief and support. I started wearing my corset to every dressy event I had, then I started wearing it to work when I knew I'd be on my feet for a long time. Soon enough, I knew I wanted another, and this time I wanted something extra special. So I went bespoke. Alisha and I went through her big book of fabric samples and I picked out a silk I liked, then we tackled the fit of corset. I'm quite short waisted and while the standard size fit me pretty well, the corset was kind of long in the front and poked my thighs when I sat down and overlapped funny with my bra on occasion. Alisha took a ton of measurements and magicked me up a beautiful corset that fit like it was made for me. Because it was! I could sit, stand, and kneel with ease in my new bespoke corset and it fit me, short waist and all, perfectly. It very quickly became my daily driver. I have since commissioned Alisha for several more bespoke corsets in fun patterns and fabrics and I've loved every single one of them.
